Meg Tawes is an interior designer, home staging expert, and Allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers. She worked previously as the Design Coordinator for HGTV’s hit real estate and staging show ‘Real Estate Intervention’ and has contributed to FoxNews.com, the Washington Post, and eHow.com. Meg recently completed her Masters of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design at George Washington University in Washington, DC and holds an undergraduate business degree from Georgetown University. As a LEED Accredited Professional and real estate enthusiast, she is passionate about ‘green’ building techniques and the growing trends of New Urbanism and Transit Oriented Development. When not scouting the latest in interiors or real estate, she enjoys DIY and crafting projects, rummaging through thrift stores for deals, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
Jessi Lang is known for getting up close and personal to bring audiences an inside view. Now she’s bringing her fresh style and insights to Distinctive Digs on MRISTV. Her passion for the pulse of current culture fuels her journalism career, as well as her PhD candidacy in Cultural Studies. She’s worked in the broadcasting industry since 2005 as a television and radio news journalist, an automotive journalist, and the host of a cable sports show. Throughout her diverse career, Jessi has reported on real estate stories, including trends in the housing market, as well as politics, science and technology. She earned degrees in Radio and Television Announcing from Columbia School of Broadcasting.
Vanessa Camozzi is a native of Texas, and her experience with real estate started at home watching her mother carve her niche in the industry. And though her roots and boots may be from Texas, she’s no stranger to life outside the longhorn state. Vanessa has lived in England, Mexico, Argentina and Puerto Rico, familiarizing herself with many diverse cultures. As the host of Distinctive Digs on mrisTV.com, Vanessa gets to join her worlds together and combine her love of real estate, travel and journalism. “I am so excited to do what I love and give viewers an inside look to some of the most unique homes in the Washington metro area.” Vanessa earned an M.A. in Interactive Journalism from The American University in Washington, D.C.
